I blame you for ripping the "Shelby" category right out from under me. I am now a "person?".

You know it's quality music when it's from PoCo. yay!

Do you know that ISO 9002 is obsolete? What's up with that? Why not use ISO 9001? As a former geek you might be familiar with it.

By the what are you certifying? Is The Asbestos Concern ISO 9002 certified? Does that mean you've got a good QA process in place?

If so, why is your merchandise shoddy?

I just got my business cards printed up. It's got "ISO 9001 certified" on it. :)

I wish I knew what it really meant.

Actually it says:

"ISO 9001 Registered Quality Management System"

The 1994 series of ISO certifications (ie. 9000, 9001, 9002, 9003) was recently phased out and replaced with an updated set. The proper designation is now ISO 9001:2000. Also, there is a new ISO 14001 certification. I plan to write a song about it very soon.

And yes, Steve, our QA is second to none.

If your QA is so good, then why are you following an outdated standard?

I never said we used an outdated standard. In fact, The Asbestos Concern has just completed ISO 9001:2000 certification to meet the demands of our listeners for world class quality assurance.

On a somewhat related note, a Google search reveals that our song's Garageband.com page currently ranks 11th out of 151,000 sites containing the term "ISO 9002 Certified".
