I respectfully submit that "Cars Can't Escape" from the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot demos is an even sadder Jeff Tweedy song. (I mean the devastating piano-only demo version, not the finished version; Wilco's demos seem to inevitably beat the finished version six ways to Sunday. Tweedy could stand to half-ass things a lot more.)
