That's ok. I had two birthday miracles to compensate.
1) I was flying home from Toronto yesterday and managed to loose my mobile in the airport. I was moping to my friend and travel companion about it as we sat waiting for the plane to take off, when the man sitting directly behind me asked: "is THIS your cellphone?" (It was.)
2) My mum misinterpreted a joke, and thought that I didn't need a ride home from the airport. (I live in North Vancouver, so bussing home is not fun.) But while I was waiting to collect my luggage, I ran into my friend Kiel from elementary school. He had just flown in from Quebec, and his Dad was waiting outside in their truck.
